新年あけましておめでとうございます。
昨年も、春・秋2度の来日を通じて、たくさんの方にザビエと出会っていただくことが実現しました。本当にありがとうございました。今年の秋には、ザビエの来日20周年という節目を迎えます。そんな記念イヤーのはじまりに際し、すでに募集は終わってしまいましたが、オンライン無料クラスを開催させていただきます。そこでザビエがお話したいことに、2020年のトランジットに加え、「水星」という惑星についてのテーマが含まれています。今日は、新年のご挨拶代わりに、ザビエの「水星」に対する今の考え方を少し共有させていただきますので、お読みいただければ幸いです。この話の続きは、来週の無料クラスにて！

春の来日は、2020年5月を予定しております。
なぜ今、水星なのか？
出生図上の水星は、コミュニケーション・知性・適応力、そして例えば、「インターネット」のような四元素の火を活用して生み出された発明的道具すなわち「言語」を示す天体（惑星）として考えられています。そうであるにも関わらず、わたしたちが出生図を読む時、つい、その水星がもたらしてくれているすべての可能性や秘策を軽視してしまいがちな傾向にあります。
この水星というシンボルの美しさは、仕事やコミュニケーションといった、毎日の生活にとって非常に実用的かつ使いやすい道具であること、もしくは、科学から詩情の世界まで、知的資源の発展を助けるということ、さらにもしくは、非常に深淵かつ霊的な伝統がもたら神秘へと誘うということに見受けられます。 だからこそわたしは、この水星というシンボルのありとあらゆる層を探求していきたい、と考えているのです。この天体の持つ可能性は、個人的レベルにおいても集合的レベルにおいても、その終わりが見えないほどに豊かなのですから。
ここのところ、歴史や文化が変化していく鍵となるエネルギーとしての水星について瞑想をしていて、例えば、日本でいうと明治維新の頃、夏目漱石のような著名な知識人は、政府によって他国（イギリス）の文化を理解しその体験を日本に持ち帰るよう、その国へと派遣されました。夏目漱石と日本国の出生図には、たくさんの共通点があるのです。昨今世界中で起きている数々の変化に、わたしたちは皆、日々圧倒され続けており、そんなタイミングだからこそ、水星がこの変容のうねりの中でどのように関与しているかをよく見ることで、わたしたちが学べることは数多くあるのだと思います。
個人のレベル、それは個人が体験する危機というレベルにおいて、水星がわたしたちに提案していることは、物事の浅瀬や稚拙さ（プエル/プエラコンプレックスー訳者補足：心理学者カール・ユングが提唱した「永遠の子供」という人間の個性化過程における一つの元型で、成長が思春期で止まっている状態を指す。プエル＝少年、プエラ＝少女）へと逃避するか、もしくは、問題を理解・探求し、創造的な解決策や出口を見出していくことのいずれかである、ということを知っておくことは非常に重要なことでしょう。
日本の皆さんに、新年のタイミングで分かち合えることを心から楽しみにしています。

Why Mercury Now?
We refer to Mercury as the planet in the natal chart that stands for communication, intelligence, adaptation, and the capacity to create innovative instruments, from the use of fire, language, to the invention of the internet. Nonetheless, we tend to neglect all the potential and the secrets that Mercury offers us when we interpret a natal chart.
The beauty of this symbol is that it can provide us with the most practical and simple tools for everyday life, work and communication, or help us develop intellectual resources from science to poetry, or guide us the most profound and mysterious secrets of spiritual traditions. Thus, l would like to explore all these levels of the symbol of Mercury; the potential of this planet, at personal and transpersonal levels, is endlessly rich. I would like to share with all my friends in Japan my love and respect for this magnificent god.
Lately, I have been meditating about Mercury as the key energy during historical-cultural transitions, such as the Meiji Restauration when the Ministry of Education appointed some notorious intellectuals, Natsume Soseki among them, to travel to other countries to understand foreign cultures (UK) and bring their experience to Japan. Soseki’s and Japan’s charts have many points in common. Nowadays we are overwhelmed by so many changes in the world, I think that we can learn a lot about it by studying how Mercury was involved in these transformations. Most important is that at a personal level, personal crisis, Mercury offers us the choice, either to escape to shallowness, immaturity (puer/ puella complexes), or helps us to understand, explore the problems and find creative solutions, proposals, ways out.
